Shoulder work on SR87 north of Pine/Strawberry for the next two weeks

Lane closures during work hours, minimal delays expected

The Arizona Department of Transportation has scheduled shoulder work on State Route 87 next week north of Pine/Strawberry, between the SR 87/260 junction and Clint’s Well, installing roadside markers on a 12-mile segment (mileposts 279 to 291).

The shoulder work will begin on Monday, Sept. 22 at 7:30 a.m. and will continue through Thursday, Oct. 2. Work hours are 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday for the next two weeks.

Traffic will be restricted to one lane through the work zone. Flaggers will direct traffic in alternating directions using the single lane that is open. The speed limit will be reduced to 25 mph and drivers can expect delays of up to 10 minutes.
