The festival, presented by Chamber
Music Sedona, will feature David Grisman and his FolkJazz Trio and will include
the Matt Flinner Trio, Burnett Family Bluegrass, Sonoran Dogs, Titan Valley
Warheads, Muskellunge Bluegrass and Pick & Holler.
David Grisman, acclaimed mandolinist and producer, will be
appearing at the Sedona Bluegrass Festival with his FolkJazz Trio. Consisting of
flat-picking guitarist Jim Hurst and son Sam Grisman, they continue David’s
vision of "Dawg Music", bringing a fresh view of American folk tunes and more
through tasteful arrangements and invigorating improvisation.

The seventh annual Sedona
Bluegrass Festival will be held at the Los
Abrigados Resort and Spa in the heart of Sedona, June 8 & 9, 2013.
The festival, presented by Chamber Music Sedona, will feature David
Grisman and his FolkJazz Trio and will
include the Matt Flinner Trio, Burnett Family Bluegrass,
Sonoran Dogs, Titan Valley Warheads, Muskellunge Bluegrass
and Pick & Holler.
“We are excited to be bringing this event to Sedona,” said Chamber Music Sedona Executive Director Bert Harclerode. “It is a great opportunity to showcase Sedona and the Verde Valley while at the same time offering bluegrass fans some of the country’s best. Bluegrass is a big part of our American culture and we believe we will attract visitors from many different areas. Most importantly, the Sedona Bluegrass Festival will be a big economic boost to the local economy.”
Other events that make up five days of bluegrass fun are: the movie “Grateful Dawg” on Wednesday, a Bluegrass BBQ on Thursday, free bluegrass in the Galleries on Friday, and a free bluegrass workshop, open to the public, on Saturday morning before the festival concert. Great bluegrass surrounded by the Red Rocks, what could be better?
