Payson Habitat has homes available now

Payson Area Habitat for Humanity is accepting applications for housing in an open application period now through March 7, 2013.

This is an opportunity to own a home for approximately $500 per month, including taxes, insurance, and HOA dues. House payment varies depending on taxes and insurance.  Habitat homes feature a no-interest 30-year mortgage, and low closing costs.

Several resale condominium homes in Longhorn Village are currently available.

Three bedroom, two-story homes are 1271 SF, and have two bathrooms.  A two-bedroom home is also available, at 878 SF, all on one level. All homes have ample closet space, washer-dryer hookups, and a small fenced backyard. Pets are allowed.

Applicants must have a steady income between 30 and 60 percent of the area median, have lived in the Payson High School District for at least one year, be willing to partner with Habitat in sweat-equity hours, and have a demonstrated need for affordable housing.  To find out if your income falls within the range for your household size, please contact our office at 928-474-0330 or stop by the Habitat ReStore (on the corner of 87 and 260) for more information and an application packet.

All household sizes are encouraged to apply.

A MANDATORY Orientation meeting will be held March 7, 2013 at the Payson United Methodist Church.  To be considered for a home, applicants MUST attend the orientation.  Doors open at 6 PM; no one will be admitted after 6:30 PM when the presentation starts.  Please arrange for childcare, as no one under age 18 will be admitted. Please pick up an application at the Habitat ReStore prior to the meeting for details, or call our office at 928-474-0330.
